The solution here is to sell your crap rings and ammys to charsi before you leave the game when you craft 100 ammys or rings in a game. When that happens the game prunes the temp file to a max size of 8 kb, and deletes the items in the inventory with the largest numbers of mods first (torches/anni usually and then everything else). If you have a lot of single slot items with large numbers of mods (read: crafted rings/ammys) it can exceed the 8 kb limit. The issue is related to the stash size increasing to 10x10 and the legacy temp file size being limited to 8 kb to keep it from being corrupted. There are reports of this happening going back to near launch on the forums people don't want to talk about. Thanks to this thread of pointing it out THIS IS HUGE and blizz MUST migrate their database to a bigger size (i dont care if the game gets taken down for a week or so THIS SHIT MUST BE FIXED)Īnd everybody should know it, YOU ARE AFFECTED TOO The game will start removing items based on its gold value, so jewellries and charms are pretty much the first goners. in the old days with a smaller inventory this issue might not be so apparent but nowdays with a bigger stash this can easily become reality. some items(especially rares and crafted items) take up more filesize than others. So apparently characters have a limit of 8kb and if that is reached the game starts deleting items. I repeat this is a HUGE BUG as if certain conditions are met the game will start deleting your items doesnt matter if on bnet or in singleplayer.
